Künzle extends his contract with EVZ for two years

Forward Mike Künzle signs a contract extension with Zug until 2028.

The 31-year-old Künzle joined EVZ in the summer of 2023 and has scored 19 goals and 20 assists in 71 National League games for Zug so far. In the current season, the so-called button came loose at the end of October against Ajoie, when the power forward scored a hat trick and provided the assist for two goals. Since then, Künzle has collected another four points in the championship and also scored and assisted one goal each in the Champions Hockey League round of 16 against Prague.

Now it’s clear: the Zurich native will continue to chase points for Zug until at least 2028 – his contract, which expires at the end of the season, will be extended by two years.

«I feel very comfortable in Zug and am delighted to be able to remain part of the EVZ family. The goals in Zug are clear: we want to win titles – and I want to play my part in achieving that.»
