The EVZ is still short-handed. Robin Antenen and Loris Wey are also missing for the first time. However, the reason is a good one: the two forwards are in the provisional squad for Switzerland’s U20 World Championship and are already in the USA for preparation games.
In view of the intensive EVZ programme before Christmas (5 games in 8 days), Zug is now reacting to this personnel situation by loaning young forward Santiago Näf from EHC Chur in the Sky Swiss League for the next two weeks.
The 23-year-old came through SC Bern’s junior division and played most of the past two seasons in the Sky Swiss League with EHC Basel before moving to Chur in the summer of 2025. Näf has repeatedly made appearances in the National League for SCB, but also Fribourg-Gottéron, over the past three years. He will now join the EVZ for the next two weeks.
