30’450 francs for EVZ’s young talent

Dominik Kubalík and Lara Stalder are the EVZ’s PostFinance Top Scorers 2026. Together they will earn CHF 30,450 for the EVZ youth programme. Both were honoured for their outstanding performances at the Top Scorer Awards on 11 March 2026 in the Festhalle in Bern.

Czech winger Dominik Kubalík scored 39 points (22 goals, 17 assists) in 49 games in his debut season with the EVZ. Kubalík received a cheque worth CHF 11,700 from PostFinance Executive Board member Ron Schneider at the Top Scorer awards ceremony in Bern on Wednesday afternoon.

In the EVZ Women’s Team, captain Lara Stalder came out on top in terms of points in the regular season. In 27 games, she collected 53 scoring points (21 goals, 32 assists), making her the top scorer in the entire PostFinance Women’s League. She was presented with a symbolic cheque worth CHF 18,750.

In total, the 22 top scorers in the National League and PostFinance Women’s League raised CHF 318,600 for young Swiss ice hockey talent in the past qualifying season. This amount will be channelled in full into the promotion of young talent.

Same goal, different implementation: a comparison of the top scorer concepts

In the National League, PostFinance pays CHF 300 per scoring point – per goal and assist of the top scorer. This calculation is not (yet) applied in the women’s league. Past seasons in the top women’s ice hockey league have shown that the top scorers of the best teams collect many times more points than the players of the teams at the bottom of the table. If the money were distributed on the basis of statistics, this gap would widen instead of narrowing. Instead, a lump sum of CHF 150,000 will be distributed among the eight clubs in the PostFinance Women’s League so that all top scorers receive the same amount of money for “their own” young talents. This measure is intended to help promote the professionalisation of women’s ice hockey in Switzerland and strengthen the league as a whole. The vision is that the concept of the top scorer in the PostFinance Women’s League will be implemented at a later date in a similar way to the National League – i.e. payment according to points.
