U21 Elit: GCK Lions equalize

The U21 Elite Team is battling it out against the GCK Lions in the playoff quarterfinals for a spot in the final. After two games, the series is tied at 1-1.

Game 2

The U21 Elite Team came close to victory in the second game of the quarterfinal series against the GCK Lions, but in the end it wasn’t quite enough.

After 60 minutes of play, the score remains goalless, leading to overtime. Defender Mischa Geisser receives a costly 2-minute penalty after 64 minutes. The GCK Lions capitalize on this and tie the series at 1-1 thanks to this goal.

However, the Elit team also gave the regular season runners-up more than a run for their money in Game 2. So after two games, everything is still up for grabs. Game 3 will take place on Sunday evening, March 8, at 6 p.m.
