EWHL Supercup in Zug

Thanks to the two victories in the preliminary tournament of the EWHL Supercup at the end of September in Memmingen, Germany, EVZ will play the final of the international tournament at home in Zug on October 14-15.

At the home tournament in the BOSSARD Arena, EVZ Women’s Team has the chance to win the first title of the season, but the way there will not be easy: Joining them in the Final 4 tournament are the German champions Memmingen, who demanded everything from the Zug women’s team in a 3:4 after overtime, as well as two top teams from the Hungarian capital. Hokiklub Budapest claimed the 2022 EWHL Supercup title for the second year in a row after they defeated MAC Budapest in last year’s final.

“The field of participants in the EWHL Supercup Final 4 tournament is extremely strong. All three teams were in last year’s final and bring a lot of experience,” said Head Coach Daniela Diaz. “For us, the games against these top teams will be a great challenge!” EVZ will face MAC Budapest in the semifinals, which defeated Bratislava (SVK) and Kärnten (AUT) in Group B. In the second semifinal, Memmingen (2nd in Group C behind EVZ) will face Hokiklub, first in Group A with Graz (AUT) and Aisulu Almaty (KAS).
