After a thriller in the round of 16 against the ZSC Lions, the EVZ has been drawn against SC Langenthal Damen, currently bottom of the PostFinance Women’s League, for the next round of the National Cup. The only game against Langenthal so far this season was a clear 8:1 win for EVZ in mid-October. The Zug team will therefore go into the quarter-final match as clear favourites.
On Tuesday (14 January, 20:00), the EVZ will face SC Langenthal Damen away from home at the Huttwil Campus ice rink.
The goal for Head Coach Daniela Diaz’s team is clear: to qualify for the Women’s National Cup Final 4 on 25/26 January 2025 at the Vaudoise aréna in Lausanne. The two semi-finals will take place on Saturday, while the match for third place and the final are on the programme for Sunday. Tickets for the Final 4 tournament are available at www.sihf.ch/ticketmaster.
In addition to the match between the EVZ Women’s Team, the other games in the quarter-finals have also been drawn:
Lausanne HC Féminin (SWHL-B) vs HC Fribourg-Gottéron (PFWL) 0:13
SC Bern (PFWL) vs HC Ambri-Piotta Girls (PFWL) on Tuesday, 14 January
Brandis Juniors Ladies (SWHL-B) vs HC Davos Ladies (PFWL) on Saturday, 18 January
