The opponent of the EVZ Cup semi-final is HC Davos. The team from the Grisons did not show any weakness in the first round, winning 18:0 against the SWHL-D representative HC Ajoie Ladies. On Saturday evening, HCD celebrated a 14:0 victory on the road against Brandis Juniors Ladies (SWHL-B). Davos are currently in third place in the PostFinance Women’s League with 47 points and are competing with the teams ahead of them from Bern and Zug for a direct place in the play-off semi-finals. Elizabeth Lang, who has scored 43 points, has made a major contribution to the strong season of Head Coach Johanna Ikonen’s team so far.
The semi-final match between EVZ and HCD promises to be an exciting one: in the PFWL championship, all games have ended with just a one-goal difference so far, with one of them even being decided on penalties. Zug lead 5:4 on points after three games.
The EVZ will face HC Davos Ladies in the semi-final of the National Cup on Saturday (25 January, 1.30 pm). The game will take place at the Vaudoise aréna in Lausanne.
