After the EVZ Women’s Team narrowly won the round of 16 against the ZSC Lions Women in December in overtime, Daniela Diaz’s team made sure things were clear in Huttwil against the SC Langenthal Women. The Zug team had to wait until the 16th minute before defenceman Annika Fazokas finally opened the scoring with a long-range shot. Just 21 seconds later, captain Lara Stalder doubled the lead and by the end of the third period it was 3:0 in EVZ’s favour. Ivana Wey celebrated her hat-trick in the clear 8:2 victory – the shot difference of 54 to 11 illustrates the dominance of the Zug team.
The EVZ will play for the Cup victory in Lausanne on 25 and 26 January.
