Thanks to a deserved 7:3 victory against HC Davos Ladies, the EVZ is through to the Women’s National Cup Final. While the first period ended evenly poised at 2:2, Zug really turned up the heat in the middle third and made it 5:2 thanks to goals from Harju and Enzler twice. Daniela Diaz’s team didn’t let anything get in their way in the final period either and, just like last year, secured their place in the final.
On Sunday 26 January, the EVZ Women’s Team will fight for the Cup victory.
EVZ will face HC Fribourg-Gottéron Ladies in the final. The women from western Switzerland beat Ambrì 4:0. The direct duels in the PostFinance Women’s League have so far ended 2:1 and 4:2 in favour of Fribourg and once 2:1 for Zug. The Women’s National Cup Final therefore promises pure excitement!
