“Alina’s skills and attitude make her a perfect fit for our team,” says Head Coach Daniela Diaz, who is delighted with the signing of the 20-year-old. “She brings a lot of speed and scoring qualities and has a very good understanding of the game.” Marti has always recorded more than one point per game in the last three years, and this year she has 13 goals and 19 assists after 26 games.
The left winger took her first steps on the ice with SC Langenthal and, from the 2018/19 season onwards, she made her first appearances with the ZSC Lions women in the SWHL-A, Switzerland’s top women’s league, in addition to games with the SCL juniors. Alina Marti is now playing her fourth full season with ZSC, won the Swiss championship title with the Zurich team in 2022, 2023 and 2024 and is also an integral part of the Swiss national team. In addition to four World Championship appearances, she was also in the squad for the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing.
The young forward will now don the EVZ kit from the 2025/26 season.
EVZ signs national team forward Alina Marti for next season.
«I chose EVZ because the enthusiasm for women’s ice hockey in Zug is something very special. I also believe that Zug offers the ideal conditions for my personal development.»
