Naemi Herzig suffered a fracture of her first rib in the second game of the final against the SC Bern women on Sunday afternoon and will miss the remaining games of the series.
This also means that Herzig’s time with the EVZ will come to an early end: the 18-year-old will play for Holy Cross University in the NCAA starting next season. Herzig has scored 50 goals and 58 assists in 64 championship games for Zug over two years.
The forward was injured in Sunday’s game and will be out for the remaining playoff finals.
