National Cup quarter-final against Neuchâtel

After the opening win against the GCK Lions, the EVZ Women’s Team is through to the Cup quarter-finals. There they will face Neuchâtel away from home on 20 December.

Seven teams from the PostFinance Women’s League and the Dragon Queens from the SWHL-C will battle it out on Saturday, 20 December 2025 for a place in the Final 4 of the Women’s National Cup.

In the round of 16, the favourites from the PFWL showed no signs of letting up and confidently prevailed against their lower-ranked opponents. The 19:0 victory of HC Fribourg-Gottéron Ladies against the ZSC Lions Girls (SWHL-C) was particularly clear. The reigning league champions EVZ also left nothing to be desired in their 15-0 win against the GCK Lions Women (SWHL-B).

In the only duel between two SWHL-C teams, the Dragon Queens prevailed 3-2 against Neuchâtel Hockey Academy I after a thrilling penalty shoot-out. The top game between SC Bern and the ZSC Lions was narrowly won by the Zurich team 4:3 on the road.

The quarter-finals were drawn as follows:

Neuchâtel Hockey Academy (PFWL) – EVZ (PFWL)

Dragon Queens (SWHL-C) – ZSC Lions (PFWL)

SC Langenthal Women (PFWL) – HC Ambri-Piotta (PFWL)

HC Fribourg-Gottéron (PFWL) – HC Davos Ladies (PFWL)

With the exception of the game involving the Dragon Queens, all games will be played with body checks in accordance with PFWL regulations.
