Now we finally know which six teams the EVZ will face in the regular season of the Champions Hockey League: From the end of August, Head Coach Michael Liniger’s team will travel to Lulea (SWE), Rauma (FIN) and Grenoble (FRA) and welcome Brno (CZE), Ingolstadt (GER) and Belfast (UK) to Zug.
We were drawn against six exciting opponents in the CHL Draw!
The game schedule with the exact dates will be published at the beginning of June. You can already get an overview of all the Game Days here. In the time leading up to the season opener on August 28, we will introduce you to all six opponents in more detail!
Until then, here’s the most important information about our opponents in a nutshell:
HOME
– Kometa Brno (CZE): Czech champions 2024/25, 14 championship titles, founded in 1953 – Brno/Brno is located 2 hours southeast of Prague
– ERC Ingolstadt (GER): 2024/25 DEL qualification winners, 1 championship title, founded in 1964 – Ingolstadt is located in Bavaria, 1 hour north of Munich
– Belfast Giants (Northern Ireland): 2024/25 champions of the EIHL, 8 championship titles, founded in 2000 – Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland
AWAY
– Luleå Hockey (SWE): Swedish champions 2024/25, 2 championship titles and 1 CHL title, founded in 1977 – Lulea is located approx. 100 km south of the Arctic Circle
– Lukko Rauma (FIN): 2024/25 Liiga qualifying winner, 2 league titles, founded in 1963 – Rauma is located 3 hours northwest of Helsinki
– Grenoble (FRA): French champions 2024/25, 9 league titles, founded 1963 – Grenoble is 1.5 hours south of Geneva
