The EVZ closes the past season with a positive annual result.
Subject to approval by the respective general meetings (EVZ Holding AG: September 12, 2022 / Eissportverein Zug: September 19, 2022), a profit of CHF 5,142.40 results for EVZ Holding AG and a profit of CHF 27,043.34 for Eissportverein Zug.
In the financial year 2021/22, the EVZ Group achieved a total turnover of CHF 33,263,110, which is a record turnover for the EVZ and an increase of more than CHF 1 million compared to the last normal financial year before Corona. The annual result of the EVZ Group results in a consolidated profit of CHF 602’345. This result is all the more pleasing as restrictions related to the Covid pandemic still prevailed for a long time in the last business year. In particular, the success of the 1st team in combination with the budgetary work throughout the company have led to this positive annual result.
Patrick Lengwiler, CEO of the EVZ: “These figures manifest the excellent and consistent work that is done in and around the EVZ. It is important for us to generate profits, which we can then invest in the future of the company. In addition, we have thus regained some of the substance that the Covid pandemic consumed.”
The Covid 19 loans from the federal government in the total amount of CHF 4.735 million drawn in fiscal 2020/21 to secure liquidity have already been repaid in full to the federal government. With the repaid debt capital, the ECC again has a self-financing ratio of 45.6%. This corresponds to the very solid economic basis on which the EVZ operates. CEO Patrick Lengwiler explains: “The EVZ is managed in an entrepreneurial manner in all areas. We are broadly diversified and financed. However, we now have a lean period ahead of us until the planned expansion of the BOSSARD Arena – during this time we will no longer be able to increase revenues, but will face rising costs in many respects. This will be a major challenge for our organization.”
