The EVZ's performance teams will start the preparation for the season 2020/21 with the test games in August.

Despite the unusual circumstances around Covid-19, the NL, SL, U20 elite and U17 elite teams are preparing for the coming season at the Centre of Competence for Top Athletics OYM in Cham. Some test games have already been defined, but for organisational reasons there have already been some changes in the schedule:

  • The Swiss League home game against HC La Chaux-de-Fonds on Tuesday, 11 August has been cancelled.
  • The internal test game between the EVZ and the EVZ Academy will newly take place on Sunday, 16 August at 5 pm at the BOSSARD Arena (instead of Friday, 14 August). Information about the test game regarding the live-stream and admitted spectators will follow within the next days.
  • The Swiss League test game against SC Langenthal on 10 September has been postponed to 8 September.

Preparatory games of the U17-Elit, U20-Elit and the EVZ Academy without spectators
Due to the current Covid-19 protection regulations and the associated requirements, the test games of the Swiss League, U20 elite (in the OYM) and U17 elite (in the OYM) will take place without spectators. Information on the start of the championship of the three teams will follow.

Team Update Swiss League
Since the last team update in April, Roland Schmid, Sports Director of EVZ Academy, has had to announce the resignation of defender Yannick Brunner. A new addition to the team is 20-year-old forward Anton Gradin (SWE), who is moving to EVZ Academy from Modo HK Super J20 SuperElit.
