The 38-year-old from Engadin signed a two-year contract as Assistant Coach for the Swiss League Team EVZ Academy.
With Corsin Camichel, an old name returns to the EVZ. The strong wing striker moved from Ambri to Zug during the 2008/2009 season and played in the EVZ jersey for three years. During the 2011/2012 season he moved to Davos, where he finished his active time in March 2013 after 577 NLA games and 182 scorer points for Davos, Chur, Ambri, Bern and Zug. In the same year, he started his second career as a coach at the first league club EHC Seewen, where he was head coach for three years. Since 2016 he has held various positions in the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation, including Assistant Coach for the U20 national team and Assistant and Head Coach for the U19 selection.
"Corsin has many years of experience as a player and as a trainer for active players and young talents, and thus he brings the best qualifications," general manager Reto Kläy says confidently.
