Last summer, Zuger Kantonalbank developed the new helmet design for the men’s and women’s teams in collaboration with EVZ. The helmets were designed by hand and feature a visualization of the Zug skyline.
Zuger Kantonalbank has auctioned off the unique helmets for the 2023/24 season together with EVZ. The proceeds of CHF 15,000 will go to the Hagendorn Children’s Home Foundation.
The worn and signed home and away helmets of the men’s team were auctioned off in April for a good cause. A considerable sum of CHF 15,000 was raised, which the Zuger Kantonalbank donated to the Hagendorn Children’s Home Foundation.
“The helmets brought joy to the EVZ players and many EVZ fans during the last ice hockey season. We would like to use the proceeds from the auction to pass on this joy and give the children and young people at the Hagendorn Special Education Center some wonderful moments,” says Hanspeter Rhyner, CEO of Zuger Kantonalbank.
Oliver Furrer, President of the Board of Trustees of the Hagendorn Children’s Home, is delighted with the donation: “We are very pleased with this wonderful gesture and would like to thank all the bidders who bought a helmet at auction, the EVZ and Zuger Kantonalbank for this kind gesture. Our children and young people will be delighted to have a new piece of play equipment in our garden.”
