EVZ and ConSol enter into long-term partnership

The EVZ and ConSol are launching a long-term partnership with the aim of raising awareness of the professional integration of people with mental and physical disabilities and jointly implementing specific projects. In addition to raising awareness, the aim is to collaborate operationally in the areas offered by ConSol in order to exploit existing synergies.

The partnership is closely linked to the EVZ roadmap, in which the club commits to greater sustainability and social responsibility. “The EVZ wants to be a role model not only in sports but also in society, and to involve the EVZ community in this development,” says Patrick Lengwiler, CEO of the EVZ. The partnership has its origins in a survey conducted within the EVZ family in spring 2024. The aim was to find social projects and organizations that fit with EVZ and offer added value for both sides. ConSol was proposed by Peter Syfrig, father of an EVZ junior player and CEO of ConSol, and prevailed over other exciting candidates in the subsequent internal selection process.

A «PERFECT MATCH»

ConSol has been successfully committed to the professional integration of people with disabilities for many years. Together with the EVZ, this is a perfect match: both organizations are based in Zug, and both stand for passion and responsibility. Physical and mental health are crucial, especially in competitive sports – another element that connects this partnership. “We are united by the vision of a society in which every person has a place and can make a contribution. This partnership gives us the opportunity to spread our message even more widely to the public,” says Peter Syfrig.

JUST THE BEGINNING

To launch the partnership, an initial project in the textile sector was implemented: materials from all EVZ teams that are no longer usable are being upcycled by ConSol into practical everyday products. The first items are already available in the ConSol web shop and in the workshop store at Ibelweg 19a in Zug. Building on this, further joint projects are planned: ConSol offers a wide range of products and services—from textiles to glass and paper to office supplies—where cooperation can create added value for both organizations.

MENTAL HEALTH DAY

The partnership with ConSol will be launched and presented at the National League home game on Friday, October 10, 2025, against Genève-Servette HC. Around 50 ConSol employees will watch the game live at the OYM hall. October 10 is fittingly Mental Health Day.
